KARACHI: The Nigaah Art Awards [NAA] have been launched from the platform of Nigaah magazine for emerging and established artists (age 21 and above) and for budding artists (15 to 20 years of age) of Pakistan who have displayed their work during January 2016 to June 2017.

The awards will be held on Aug 26 at the Mohatta Palace.

The genres in which artists can send their work include painting, 3D sculpture, calligraphy, drawing, printmaking and photography. The NAA will also award curatorial work, art publication, art critic and lifetime achievement.

The panel of judges includes experts such as Marjorie Husain, Amra Ali, Adil Salahuddin, Taimur Ahmed Suri, R. M. Naeem and Tauqeer Muhajir. CEO Dawn Media Group, Hameed Haroon will chair the jury as its chairperson.

The last date of submitting entries is July 25, 2017. All details related to entry submission are available on www.nigaahart.com.
