KARACHI: A mother of three children was arrested with a male accomplice for allegedly killing her husband in Orangi Town over some domestic dispute, the Pakistan Bazaar police said on Sunday.

They added that Fauzia with “her friend Talha” and another suspect, Zafar, strangled her husband, Alamudin, inside their home in Bangla Bazaar.

Later, when the victim was being buried, a brother of the deceased informed the police, who reached the spot. The police took his body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors confirmed that he had been strangled, said Pakistan Bazaar SHO Zahid Soomro.

The officer said the suspect woman had developed differences with her husband and wanted to marry her neighbour Talha.

The officer said Zafar helped the suspects in carrying out the killing on the promise that Talha would help him to marry the girl of his choice. On Saturday night, both the suspects entered the home and strangled Alamudin while he was asleep.
