CHAKWAL: A man was killed while two others were injured in two rival groups fight in Pinwal village in the Saddar Chakwal police area, police sources said on Monday.

According to police and villagers, a group of hunters brought a wild-boar and wanted to put it into a fight with hounds.

As they unloaded the pig in a field near the village, members of the rival groups also emerged at the scene and had an exchange of harsh-words with those who were present there.

The group had also had three armed men who opened fire on the members of the rival group, injuring Asad, Yasin and Qasim of the opposite group.

The injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital from where Yasin was referred to Rawalpindi due to his serious condition but he expired in Rawalpindi. The assailants managed to flee from the village and are yet to be arrested. “We would arrest the accused soon,” investigating officer Ali Abbas said.
