MARDAN: Administration of the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan here on Friday announced to reopen campuses in phases from May 22 (Monday).

The decision was made during the 22nd syndicate meeting of the varsity on Friday. The meeting chaired by the newly-appointed Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Jehanzib Khalil was attended by relevant officials.

Talking to this correspondent after the meeting, Registrar Prof Sher Alam Khan said the meeting decided that Nowshera, Buner, Timargara and Chitral campuses would reopen on May 22.

Similarly, he said the Shankar campus would reopen on May 24 while the main campus and the Garden campus would reopen on May 25.

The registrar said there would be complete ban over political activities on the premises of the university. He said a 24-hour monitoring of all campuses would be ensured to prevent any untoward incident.

Besides, he said parents would make regular contacts with the relevant officials of university.
