KARACHI, Aug 2: Speaker of the Sindh Assembly Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah took oath as the acting governor at a ceremony held at Governor House on Saturday. Chief Justice Syed Saeed Ashhad of Sindh High Court administered the oath.

Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar, Deputy Speaker of Sindh Assembly Rahila Tiwana, provincial Minister for Law Chaudhry Iftikhar, Adviser to the CM on Information Salahuddin Haider, City Nazim Naimatullah Khan, judges of the SHC and senior civil and army officials attended the ceremony.

Consequent upon the appointment of Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah as acting governor, Rahila Tiwana will be acting as Speaker of the provincial assembly with effect from Aug 2.
