KARACHI: The Endowment Fund Trust (EFT) for the Preservation of the Heritage of Sindh on Friday announced the names of winners of their literary awards for the period 2012-16.

According to an EFT press release, the awards, instituted during the Hyderabad Literary Festival held in December 2016, are being given to six individuals for promoting Sindh’s culture and literature through their work.

The award for Creative Literature will go to two writers, namely Imdad Hussaini and Fazalullah Qureshi. The award for Research (Sindhi) will go to Ustad Amir Ali and Dr Fahmida Hussain while the award for Research (English) will be given to (late) Mohammad Salahuddin Qureshi and Nasir Aijaz in a ceremony to be held soon.
