TOBA TEK SINGH: A district administration task force team raided on Thursday a Gojra village chak 367 JB Jallianwala and sealed a factory where the rotten bones of animals were being crushed into powder.

The powder was supplied to the manufacturers of medicines, cattle and poultry feed and custard powder.

The team, consisting of Gojra Assistant Commissioner (AC) Tanweer Kashif Murtaza, Deputy District Officer (health) Dr Asghar Sheikh and Food Inspector Muhammad Rafiq, founds thousands of kilograms of bones at the place.

The AC told reporters that according to witnesses, the powder was being produced in the factory for the last 12 years.

One of the factory owners, Shabbir, presented the registration documents of their factory but they turned out to be bogus.

Gojra Sadar police muharrar Muhammad Afzal said that no case had so far been registered as the health department had written to the environment department to get the case registered.
