QUETTA: A suspected militant was killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in Pasni on Sunday.

According to Levies officials, security personnel lau­n­ched a search operation in the Kolanch area after recei­ving information about the presence of militants there.

“Heavy exchange of fire took place in the area, resulting in the killing of an armed militant,” they claimed.

The body of the suspected militant, identified as Habibullah, a resident of Ward No-6 of Pasni town, was shifted to the district hospital.

Habibullah’s family claimed that he had not returned home for the past four years.
