KARACHI: Former national champion Mohammad Bilal sent Bahrain’s Khalil Busaif packing straight on the opening day of the 33rd Asian Snooker Championship which commenced in Doha on Saturday.

According to information available here, eighth seed Bilal dominated the play and chalked up an emphatic 64-3, 104-2, 57-7, 74-38 victory over his opponent in the group H.

Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report, Mohammad Sajjad was up against Singa­pore’s Ja Jin Ong while Asjad Iqbal was pitted against Saudi Arabia’s Abdulraouf Saigh.
