LAHORE: A heat wave developed over the plains of the country on Saturday and the Met department expected it to last till coming Tuesday.

The maximum temperature in Larkana, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Turbat, Padidan and Rahim Yar Khan was 46 degrees Celsius. It was 45 degrees Celsius in Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mithi, Chhor, Moenjodaro, Bahawalpur, Sibbi, Noorpur Thal and Khanpur.

The maximum temperature in Lahore was 41 degrees Celsius, Faisalabad 42 and Multan 43.

The Met office forecast mainly hot and dry weather in most parts of the country, and very hot weather in Makran, Sibbi, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Hyderabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, DG Khan and Faisalabad divisions in next 24 hours.
