LANDI KOTAL: A private girls school in Bara subdivision was targeted with a bomb, causing minor damage to the building.

Officials said explosives were planted inside a classroom which went off at midnight causing minor damage to a wall of the room. They said no one was present at the time of the incident, adding at least 19 suspected persons had been rounded up during a search operation conducted following the incident.

However, no one claimed responsibility for the blast.

Recently, militants affiliated with banned Lashkar-i-Islam had also targeted a government girls school in a similar fashion in Shalobar area.
