TOBA TEK SINGH: The Gojra police registered on Wednesday a case against 26 people for trying to occupy a school land, attacking teachers and torturing students in Chak 245-GB, Talwandi.

The case was registered on an application of the head teacher of the Government Non-Formal Basic Education School located in Azafi Abadi of the village.

Complainant Nazia Abdul Ghani said accused Muhammad Hanif and his 10 nominated and 15 unidentified accomplices attacked the school to occupy its land which was donated by a village philanthropist.

She said the accused people attacked teachers and also injured seriously two minor students Yasmin Akhtar and Aqib Ali. She alleged that the attackers also damaged the school record and furniture.

Saddar police muharrar Muhammad Afzal said that raids were being conducted to arrest the attackers.

CASE REGISTERED: The Gojra police registered on Wednesday a case against a man and his accomplices on the order of Gojra additional district and sessions judge Malik Muhammad Shafiq for kidnapping his own children and disobeying the court order regarding producing the children before court.

Razia Sultana of Nankana Sahib had filed a suit in the court stating that her husband Sajid Ali of Sharif Pura locality kicked her out of the house along with her daughters Kiran, 10, Shahzadi, 5, and 18 months old son Ali Sher.

She said she took her children to her parents’ house in Nankana Sahib from where her husband Sajid and his accomplices kidnapped her children.

Police were conducting raids to arrest the accused and his accomplices and recover the children.

CRUSHED TO DEATH: A bus crushed to death the driver of a loader rickshaw here on Wednesday.

A Rescue 1122 official said that Malik Muhammad Saleem of Chak 153-GB, Blaggan, was on his way to Toba from Gojra when the bus hit his rickshaw, killing him instantly.
