SHANGLA: A four-month-old baby boy died apparently due to negligence of his parents here on Monday.

Officials of Alpuri police station said the parents of the child left the house following a quarrel over a domestic issue, leaving the infant alone in Gado Sar Petaw area.

They said the mother went to her parents’ house after quarrel with her husband, who also did not return home for the night. When the parents returned next morning they found the child dead.

The police said they had launched investigation under section 174 of PPC to fix the responsibility for the child’s death.
