Insanitary conditions

Stagnant water, foul smelling drains and garbage have made life miserable for the residents of various areas of Karachi.

For a long time, the residents, in spite of paying all taxes and utility bills, are still facing dirty lanes with overflowing drains. Even the garbage dumping areas remain over-filled.

We all know that stagnant pools of water are breeding places for flies and mosquitoes, therefore various diseases. We have been facing the torture of messy conditions and improper drainage system without the hope that it will ever be taken care of.

The situation has now reached an alarming state and this is a plea to the concerned authorities to clear the garbage and provide healthy and clean surroundings to the citizens.

Uneducated teachers

Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan and most people have this misconception that all the institutes provide best education to its students.

I am one of the victims of an institute that has no interest in providing education to its students. I am the student of class eighth in an institution of Islamabad that was once considered among the top school/college of the capital. But for the past two or more years, in terms of education, the school is going through a pathetic time and not only students, but their parents are also suffering.

The biggest problem in the school is regarding the teachers.

Firstly, there is shortage of teachers, there are not more than five experienced teachers, and others are new with no experience at all.

In fact, they don’t have good qualifications as they don’t even know the meaning and pronunciation of common English words. If any student points out a mistake to the teacher or tells the right meaning, the teacher scolds and orders him/her to leave the classroom.

Secondly, the teachers have lost interest in their students and teaching. They pay no heed to studies, class work, homework or lectures and are usually seen engrossed in their mobile phones.

Interestingly, cell phones are not allowed to be used in the classrooms but teachers just don’t care at all.

We are going through the most difficult time of our lives as our future depends on these teachers who teach us nothing and if they do, it is wrong and we remain confused.

It is my appeal to the authorities to take notice and solve our problem; we don’t want to waste our golden period under such uneducated teachers.
