Rihanna named Harvard’s Humanitarian of the Year

Rihanna has been named the 2017 Harvard University Humanitarian of the Year and will soon be honoured at the school during a special ceremony.

“Rihanna has charitably built a state-of-the-art centre for oncology and nuclear medicine to diagnose and treat breast cancer at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown, Barbados,” Harvard Foundation director Allen Counter said in a statement.

“She has also created the Clara and Lionel Foundation Scholarship Programme [named for her grandmother and grandfather] for students attending college in the US from Caribbean countries, and supports the Global Partnership for Education and Global Citizen Project, a multi-year campaign that will provide children with access to education in over 60 developing countries, giving priority to girls and those affected by lack of access to education in the world today,” he continued.

Hugh Jackman would remain Wolverine for an Avengers’ film

Good news to the fans of Hugh Jackman, as the actor has expressed interest in remaining X-Men hero Wolverine if it meant he could star in an Avengers film.

“If that was on the table when I made my decision, it certainly would have made me pause. That’s for sure,” the actor said, referencing his decision to leave Wolverine behind following the release of Logan during a new interview.

Logan, which also stars Patrick Stewart as Professor X, features an aged Wolverine fighting to protect a mysterious girl (Dafne Keen) who has powers similar to his own.
