LAHORE: The first five-day Inspector General Police Punjab Volleyball Gold Cup Tournament is being held from tomorrow at WAPDA Sports Complex, Ferozepur Road, Lahore.

According to a handout issued on Monday, the event will be organised by the Sports Board of the Punjab police. The teams from Punjab police, Army, Navy, PAF and Wapda will participate in the tournament besides the provincial teams of the Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

Punjab Minister for Sports Jahangir Khanzada will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the event.

Matches will begin at 10am daily and according to the schedule, all teams will play matches against each other.

The closing ceremony of Gold Cup will be held on March 12 and IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera will distribute prizes among players of winner and runner-up teams.
