KARACHI: Two-day trials to select two Karachi teams for the inaugural National under-16 hockey championship will commence at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium on Saturday at 11am, said an announcement of the Karachi Hockey Association (KHA).

Players who will be under-16 on Dec 31, 2017, are eligible to take part in the trials.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has decided to launch the event aimed at catching young talent and broaden the base.

The venue of the inaugural event will, however, be announced later.

The players who are interested to appear in the trials have been asked to report to former Olympian Mansoor Ahmed.
