ABBOTTABAD: Officials of the Counter Terrorism Department, Hazara region, here have arrested during a raid two alleged target killers for their involvement in the murder of Wapda’s executive engineer, Hangu, Yousaf Hussain, in Dec 2016. Mr Hussain was in Abbottabad to meet his family when he was shot dead.

According to a CTD statement here on Tuesday, they had arrested Taimur, a resident of Malikpura, and Raja Mustafa Sultan of Shiekhulbandi, Abbottabad, for their involvement in sectarian cases in different parts of Hazara division.

It said that both were on bail in an attempted murder case of Ali Raza Shah when they allegedly targeted the Wapda official. Both were produced in the local anti-terrorism court which handed them over to the CTD police on 14 days remand.

Both were booked in the case registered in the CTD police station on Dec 12, 2016 under Section 302-7 ATA.

SANITATION: Heaps of garbage could be seen everywhere in Abbottabad city, as the sanitation staff of tehsil municipal administration has gone on strike against the creation of Water and Sanitation Authority in the city.

Drivers of the sanitation vehicles, sweepers and lower engineering staff of the water supply and public health department have been observing the strike. They have also threatened to stop water supply to the city. Strike of the sanitation staff in Havelian continued for the third consecutive day.

The residents have demanded of the district administration to take immediate steps for cleanliness in the city.
