ABBOTTABAD: Private educational institutions should come forward and nominate their teachers as invigilators and evaluators to help the educational boards improve the examination system.

This was stated by newly-appointed chairman of Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Abbottabad, Sajjad Ahmed while speaking at a reception hosted in his honour by the Private Educational Institutions Management Association (PEIMA), Abbottabad chapter, here the other day. A farewell was also arranged for the outgoing chairman Jehnadad Marwat, who has been appointed as chairman of BISE, Bannu.

Prof Ahmed said the board was treating government and private educational institutions equally and would welcome suggestions and proposals for improving the examination system. He said all bottlenecks would be removed to bring improvement in the conduct of examinations.

On the occasion, Jehnadad Marwat stressed the need for a positive role by the private education sector in improving the education system. He said getting positions in examinations should not be a barometer to judge the quality of education but the important thing was the character building of students.
