PESHAWAR: Pak Sarzameen Party chairman Mustafa Kamal said here on Wednesday that he parted ways with Altaf Hussain after he came to know about his association with Indian spy agency RAW.

He alleged that federal government had all information and evidence to prove MQM chief as anti-state element but rulers were reluctant to take action against him.

Mr Kamal shared these views while speaking at ‘meet the press programme’ at Peshawar Press Club and talking to legal fraternity at the barroom of Peshawar High Court.

Flanked by PSP vice chairman Waseem Aftab and president Anees Qaim Khani, Mr Kamal said that for the last 22 years Karachi had been in the grip of terror spread by Indian spy agency that made lives of people miserable.

He claimed that Scotland Yard had also proved that Altaf was a terrorist. “But our government has not taken any serious action against him at least to hold him accountable for the bloodshed of people,” he added.

He said that operation carried out by Rangers in Karachi helped to improve law and order. He appreciated action against banned organisations.

The PSP chief said that public mandate had been robbed by RAW agents for several decades in Karachi.

He said that anti-state elements wanted to divide people on the basis of language, race and region but his party would not tolerate division of people on ethnic grounds.

Mr Kamal said that his party had nothing to do with MQM leader Saleem Shehzad.

“There is no room for such people in PSP,” he said. H added that Saleem Shahzad might have come to the country to join MQM-Pakistan as leader of the party issued statement for his release.

Mr Kamal said that they would welcome MQM-Pakistan chief Dr Farooq Sattar into PSP.

About joining of PSP by Haider Abbas Rizvi and Babar Ghauri, he said that they had had not contacted him so far.

To a query about possibility of integration of all groups of MQM under the leadership of retired Gen Pervez Musharraf, the PSP chief said that his party had no plan to join any group.

He said that PSP was formed under a clear vision and manifesto to bring change in life of common people. Mr Kamal also expressed concerns over corruption in the country and said that National Accountability Bureau failed to eliminate corruption.

He said that it was need of the hour to uproot corruption as it hollowed foundation of the country. Mr Kamal stressed the need for devolution of powers and brining reforms at grassroots level to provide basic amenities to people across the country.

He said that Dr Farooq Sattar had formed MQM-Pakistan but he kept the backdoor opened. He said that Dr Farooq Sattar should join PSP to play effective role in solution of issues of people.
