KARACHI, Jan 2 : The government of Sindh has constituted the Provincial Transport Board on defence planning with immediate effect.

According to an official handout issued here on Wednesday, the board will have the secretary to the government of Sindh, labour, transport, industries and commerce departments as its chairman and director general.

Deputy inspector general of police (T&H) Sindh, Karachi, and representative of the Karachi Log Area will work as its members, while the secretary provincial transport authority Karachi will work as its secretary.

Besides, the competent authority has constituted the District Transport Board on defence planning in each district in the province of Sindh with immediate effect.

The Board is composed of the district coordination officer as its chairman; the senior superintendent of police/district police officer and the army liaison officer will work as its members and the excise & taxation officer will function as secretary.—PPI
