GWADAR: The vice chancellor of the University of Turbat on Friday said the start of regular classes at the university’s sub-campus at Gwadar would help in the acceleration of socio-economic development and bring prosperity to the people of the coastal town.

Speaking at a gathering of students and faculty members, Vice Chancellor Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir added that the sub-campus would be elevated to the status of a university soon to improve the higher education standards in the region.

Dr Sabir accorded special thanks to Makran Commissioner Bashir Ahmed Bangulzai and Deputy Commissioner Tufail Ahmed for their support in the promotion of education in the district.

Presiding over a meeting at the university earlier, the vice chancellor instructed the quarters concerned to increase the number of buses for students, build a digital conference room, including a library with modern facilities like internet for improved learning.
