LAHORE: Five teams will take part in the first Women Hockey League to be held at the National Hockey Stadium from Feb 3 to 8.

The event is being held by the Punjab Women Hockey Association in collaboration with Sports Board of Punjab.

The teams are Lahore Lions, Islamabad Shaheens, Peshawar Deers, Karachi Dolphins and Quetta Panthers.

The Sports Board of Punjab has sanctioned Rs500,000 for the event, besides providing accommodation to players. The PHF is providing umpires and technical officials.
