HYDERABAD: The Pasban Pakistan Hyderabad chapter on Friday announced that it was fielding Veero Kohli, a peasants’ rights activist, against Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in the by-election for the NA-204 Larkana seat.

Speaking at a news conference in the local press club, Pasban Pakistan activist Arshad Arain and Ms Kohli said it would be a contest between an exploited daughter of Sindh and a feudal lord.

Ms Kohli said Bilawal should tell the nation what he had done for Sindh. She said that after winning the Larkana seat, she would campaign for the release of Dr Afia Siddiqui from the US jail.

Dr Ghulam Hyder Malokani of an NGO, which she is associated with, was also present.
