KARACHI, Dec 21: Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation, Rauf Siddiqui, has emphasised the need to solve the growing problems of women.

Speaking at a seminar on “Women Workers Role in the Country’s Development” at the National Institute of Labour Administration Training (NILAT) here, he said women also played an important role in the development of the country.

The seminar was jointly arranged by Karvan and NILAT, statement said on Sunday.

“Difficulties and snags come across every good work, which does not mean that such work should be left half-way. If the effort and intention are sincere, Allah provides all help and one involved in accomplishing it achieves success”, Siddiqui said.

The minister lauded the training and courses available to women workers and others at NILAT. He said the institution prepared skilled people who played an important role in the country, therefore it was imperative to solve its problems.

On the request of the director general NILAT, the minister announced to give 40 chairs and assured that he would contact other departments for solution of other problems.

On the occasion Director General NILAT Hakim Ali Shah Bukhari commended the sentiment expressed by the minister.—APP
