KASUR: The grave of saint Baba Noor Shah and a nearby well were found dug up on Monday in Rasoolpur village in the jurisdiction of Pattoki Saddar police.

Saddar Station House Officer Rana Mukhtar Ahmed said on being alerted by the villagers, when they arrived at the scene, several devotees were at the shrine.

Some villagers suspected that some people had dug up the sites to find a hidden treasure. Later, some people dug the grave eight feet and found nothing there.

The shrine is some two kilometres from the village graveyard in a field.

Landlord Muhammad Yaseen transferred the land in the name of the shrine and built a building there in the honour of the saint.

Police did not register any case, saying there was no complainant in the case.
