Four die, 20 hurt in accident

DADU, Dec 19: Four passengers were killed and 20 others injured when Mehar-bound passenger wagon overturned and fell into a ditch at village Kalary on Indus Highway near Sann on Thursday evening.

According to details, a Mehar-bound passenger wagon (No. 0734) was coming from Hyderabad overturned near the Kalary village, Sann, and fell into a ditch. Four passengers were killed on the spot while 20 others injured.

The dead were identified as Ms Amirzadi, resident of village Borari, Dr Riaz Janwari, Abdul Jabbar Narejo and Abdul Ghafoor, resident of Mehar town.

All the injured were admitted to local hospital where condition of Sarfaraz and Sumera was stated to be serious.

The driver of the wagon escaped from the scene. Police have impounded the vehicle and registered an FIR against the unknown driver.

SUICIDE: Anwar Ali, 19, committed suicide by shooting himself with a gun for not getting the hand of a girl of his choice in village Dilawar Khan Jatoi, Sehwan taluka on Wednesday night.
