GWADAR: Qatari Prince Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah Thani faced a bit of a hassle when he found out that he needed ‘clearance’ for hunting in the Hoshab and Balaktar areas in Kech district of Balochistan.
The prince had to call Prime Minister House and according to sources, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took notice of the issue immediately and ordered the provincial government to provide security to the prince and facilitate him, after which he reached Turbat with his staff and other members of the royal family on Tuesday.
The prince was received at the airport by Makran Commissioner Bashir Ahmed Bangloi and Deputy Commissioner Kech Yaqoob Mari. The royal entourage, which was protected by the Frontier Corps and other forces, moved towards Hoshab and Balaktar.
When he reached the camp, the prince was informed about the situation. Sources claimed that he said if the authorities did not want him to hunt in the area he could leave.
However, upon given the assurances that due security would be provided to him and other members of his entourage, he decided to stay.
He was accompanied by five Qataris, two Iranians, three Nepalese, two Omanis and some Pakistani citizens.
The political situation in Hoshab and Balaktar has been precarious for the last couple of years causing a large number of people to migrate from the region.
The Frontier Works Organisation which is working on the CPEC highways has also come under attack because of which security forces have arrested some suspects.

It is the worst form of monarchy even worse than the kingdom.
In gulf, their citizens enjoy everything that expats and foreigners cannot. But in Pakistan, Foreigners enjoy amenities which even citizens cannot enjoy. I feel really pained for our people who are stuck with such rulers and still like and vote for them.

Houbara Bustard is an endangered species on the verge o extinct. I cannot imagine, how paksitani governemtn is issuing licence to a 'Foreigner' to hunt. Speaks volumes about the dupliciity of the government.

Disgraceful! A PM is scrambling to accommodate an Arab Prince to hunt rare birds in the country. Yet the PM has no time to visit the grieving families of the deceased in the PIA crash. That's the sense of convoluted priorities of these ignorant politicians.
NS could not suggest that the Prince could some other time for hunting, and not when the nation is in somber mood??

Frankly, after reading this horror story, I feel like traveling to the Gulf, to hunt, with a high powered rifle. I won't need a permit to hunt for the species I will be targeting. They better learn to run fast or fly, before I get there!

is it legal to hunt in Pakistan? US has special areas and seasons when hunting game which are not threatened is allowed. In India it's completely banned in all National Parks (NP), Wildlife Santuarys (which used to be called Game Santuarys during British era) and Reserve Forest

The Prime Minister has to favour back in return obtaining the letter from them for is rescue but fears th public and opposition parties by giving a permission. So what is going to happen some sort of drama is going to be created for not issuing license/permit with the conclusion of drop scen, permit been given.
