BHC suspends fed govt's order to deport Turkish staffers of Pak-Turk schools

The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Tuesday suspended the federal government's order to deport Turkish staffers of the Pak-Turk schools and their family members to Turkey.

The divisional bench of the BHC, comprising Chief Justice Muhammad Noor Maskanzai and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, issued notices to officials of the federal interior ministry and directed them to appear before the court in the next hearing of the case.

Nadir Chalgari, the counsel for Turkish staffers, pleaded before the court that deporting teachers was a clear violation of basic human rights.

More than 1,400 students are studying in the three Pak-Turk school campuses. Around 20 Turkish teachers have been teaching in these three campuses.

The case has been adjourned till the last week of December of this year.

Earlier, the Peshawar High Court as well as the Sindh High Court also suspended the order of the federal government to deport Turkish staffers and their family members.

Another slap in the government's face. Now perhaps the government will setup a 'committee' to review all its previous decision to fire the Turkish teachers and deport them

Thanks.i am very hopeful about future of my country.there are still some good people who believe that the education has an important effects in nation future.we need education.let the Turkish goverment come and open schools and we see.it is easy to take over the ready ones ...i am doubtful about their sincerity.thanx....

Pak&Turk schools are the best in the world , Pakistan should be treating Turkish brothers who have sacrificed so much for achieving this, like heros . These schools are high academic achievers whilst teaching profound Islamic values, not the watered version in Government schools or the narrow version found in madrassas. Pakistan need these Pak-Turk schools like rainwater in desert. Corrupt Nawaz Sharif is appeasing his dictator Turkish PM Erdogan at the expense of these noble Turkish teachers . Shame on Pak Government Pak-Turk schools should be doubled in numbers and rolled across every town in Pakistan . I pray that Turkish families asked to leave will be honoured & elevated within the Pakistani society promptly God willing.
