QUETTA: The National Party (NP) suspended on Sunday the membership of its sitting member of the Balochistan Assembly, Mir Fateh Buledi, and former senator Mir Muhammad Aslam Buledi for “violating party decisions and manifesto”.

A spokesman for the National Party said in a statement issued here that the membership of the two NP leaders had been suspended because “they were continuously violating the party decisions and were paying no heed to the party leadership’s instructions”.

“The membership of Mir Fateh Buledi, MPA, and former senator Mir Muhammad Aslam Buledi, have been suspended for not abiding the party decision and violating the party manifesto,” the spokesman said.

Mir Fateh Buledi, who is son of a central leader of the National Party, late Ayub Buledi, was elected an MPA from Buleda area of the Kech district after the suicide of his elder brother, Azim Jan.

There were reports of differences between former senator Aslam Buledi,

Mir Fateh Buledi and the central leadership of the National Party.

Sources said that the differences surfaced when the National Party did not award the party’s ticket to Mr Aslam Buledi who wanted to contest the Senate election.

The National Party sources said that the decision to award the party ticket for Senate election had been taken by the central committee and leadership of the party.
