KARACHI, Dec 17: Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad paid surprise visits to various areas on Tuesday night and inspected the ongoing work under different schemes.

During the inspection, the governor directed the city government and other concerned departments to accelerate the pace of work as directed by President Musharraf.

He said that the work should be carried out day and night in three shifts to complete the schemes on time. People should be provided due facilities at the earliest, but, without compromising on quality, he added.

He directed that efforts should be made to carry out maximum work during nights in the areas having heavy traffic.—APP
