KARACHI: 8 cars, 5 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Jan 1: Thirteen vehicles — eight cars and five motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Tuesday, police said.

The cars were hijacked in Darakhshan, Saddar, Arambagh, Bahadurabad, Ferozabad, Sharea Faisal, Joharabad and Gulberg. The motorcycles were stolen in Soldier Bazaar, Ferozabad, Jamshed Quarters, Mehmoodabad and Frere.

Police also claimed on Tuesday to have recovered eight vehicles in the city.

ROBBERIES: Two robberies were committed in the city on Tuesday, police said.

Khalid Mehmood lodged a report at Saeedabad police station that unidentified bandits barged into his house and got away with cash and a TV set. Iqbal lodged a complaint at the area police station that dacoits looted valuables from his house in DHA.
