LAHORE: Some 1,200 students of two departments of Bahauddin Zakariya University Lahore campus have urged the authorities concerned to shift their campus to Multan otherwise they will again take to the streets.

Physiotherapy and BS technology students said the vice chancellor had promised to shift their departments to the Multan campus.

“We have learnt that the university administration is considering getting physiotherapy students transferred to the University of Health Sciences and those of BS technology to the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, but we want to be shifted to Multan campus,” Muhammad Talha, a representative of the students, told a press conference here on Wednesday.

He said the students would take to the streets if the BZU administration did not pay heed to their ‘just’ demands.
