LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday approved purchase of 150,000 laptops during the current financial year.

The approval came at a meeting which discussed various aspects of the laptop distribution scheme.

He said the procurement process should be completed at the earliest and the laptops should be of the latest model.

He said that the distribution of laptops among youth on merit was yielding positive results.

He said that education was the only way through which trends of extremism could be eliminated.

Meanwhile, Sherazi Brothers of Pakistan Muslim League-N from Sindh called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here.
