KARACHI, Dec 15: The death toll in the recent explosion at the Bahria petrol station rose to three on Monday with another person succumbing to his injuries at Patel Hospital.

A spokesman for the Shell Pakistan confirmed the death of Zafar Iqbal, one of the 18 persons who had sustained injuries in the explosion which ripped through the petrol station in DHA on December 3. Two of the victims, Safar and Nadeem, employees of the Shell Select Shop, died from their injuries at the same hospital on December 9.

Hospital sources said that condition of yet another victim, S. Zahir Shah, was critical. They said that seven of those admitted to the hospital after the blast were discharged as their condition was stable.
