KARACHI: Defending champion Asim Qureshi faces M. Rameez in the all-Wapda men’s singles final of the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) Master’s Cup as curtain falls on the event at the Multan’s district sports gymnasium on Sunday.

While Asim triumphed over Abdul Raheem 11-9, 6-11, 11-4, 11-2, 11-5 while Rameez got the better of Shujat Ali 11-5, 16-14, 11-8, 9-11, 11-7 in the two semi-finals played on the penultimate day

Similarly, the women’s singles final will also be an all-Wapda affair as Sidra Sattar and Mehmooda Haider won their semi-finals in contrasting styles.

The former struggled to overcome Sadia Zahid 8-11, 4-11, 11-9, 15-13, 11-9, 11-4 the latter was home 11-9, 11-6, 9-11, 11-1, 11-6 over Sana Muzaffar.
