KARACHI: Imam Al-Aqsa calls for Jihad

KARACHI, Dec 14: Imam of Masjid-i-Aqsa (Baitul Maqdas) Shaikh Mohammed Al-Sayyam has renewed the call for a massive crusade for the liberation of Al-Aqsa from the occupation of Jews, saying that the cause of an independent Palestinian state and Liberation of Baitul Maqdas is the cause of the entire Ummah.

Shaikh Sayyam, who visited Darul Uloom in Korangi on Sunday, was addressing students and the faculty of the seminary institution. Highlighting the pathetic conditions in and around Al-Quds and the reign of terror let loose by Israeli forces against Palestinians and other Arabs for decades, he made an impassioned appeal for a decisive Jihad against Zionists.

He underscored importance of acquiring religious education and impressed upon the students pay due respect to their teachers.

Shaikh Sayyam, who is Vice-Chancellor of Gaza University, said that one must keep in mind that people did not remember kings and rulers for long, but could not forget Ulema and religious scholars. — Staff Reporter
