CAS squash begins

PESHAWAR: Ghani Ahmad of Punjab defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hamza Zahid 3-1, 10-12, 11-9, 11-7, 11-8 in the first match of the first qualifying round of the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) National Junior Squash Championship which started here on Thursday at the PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex.

Former world champion and vice-president of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) Qamar Zaman was the chief guest on the occasion who formally inaugurated the championship.

The final of the championship will be played on Nov 1.
