KARACHI: The Karachi Tennis Association (KTA) will organize 2nd Abdul Majeed Trophy memorial ranking tennis championship from Nov 1 at the Union Club here. This tournament is part of STA Development Series events.

Marhoom Abdul Majeed was a great promoter of tennis in the country and his son Ismail Majeed was a Davis Cupper and also represented country at the Asian Games.

Salman Maniya is the tournament director and Khalid Rehmani is the referee and Sarwar Hussain is the organising secretary and media coordinator.

Events to be contested are Mens Singles, Ladies Singles, Juniors in the under-15, 13, 11,9 and 7 categories, Mens Doubles and a soft tennis open event is also included.
