Muslim Conference wins by-polls

MUZAFFARABAD, Dec 8: Muslim Conference candidate Raja Mohammad Yasin won the by-polls in AJK Legislative Assembly constituency LA-14, Bagh-III, on Monday, defeating his rivals from the People’s Party and the Jamaat-i-Islami.

According to Election Commission sources, Mr Yasin secured 14,251 votes, whereas Sardar Qamaruz Zaman Khan of the PPAJK bagged 12,356 votes and Abdur Rashid Turabi of the Jamaat-i-Islami, 7,750 votes.
