A healthy sign

Those who say that the Pakistan film industry is going through a resurgent phase, well, rest assured that phase is over and our movies are doing pretty well. Reason being, this Eidul Azha three Pakistani films (Actor In Law, Janaan, Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai) were screened and two of them, so far, have done pretty good business at the box office.

Yes, there were no major Bollywood or Hollywood releases to compete with, still, the kind of critical appreciation that the films have garnered and the money that they have earned clearly shows that things are looking up. However, we still need to brush up on our film-making techniques to go truly global. And that for sure will happen soon. So, way to go Pakistani cinema!
