Children electrocuted

Published September 18, 2016

A WIRE of 11,000 high voltage recently snapped near Umerkot in Thar and fell into a water canal . As a result, seven children, who were taking a bath, were seriously injured. Four of them were taken to the Civil Hospital, Hyderabad, for emergency treatment.

This is not the first incident of its kind. Record shows 11000-high voltage wire frequently snaps in Sindh and claims many human lives.

It is the duty of higher authorities to ensure that the dangerous 11000-high voltage wires remain intact.
