SAHIWAL: A girl suffered injuries to her face, shoulder and other body parts in an acid attack here on Thursday at village 40/SP.

Pakpattan Saddar police have registered a case and taken into custody three suspects who are relatives of the girl.

Reports said 17-year-old Sabah, daughter of farmer Ghulam Ali, was asleep when three suspects entered the house and threw acid on her.

The girl started screaming and suffered burns on her hair, left eye, left side of face and parts of shoulder.

She was referred to Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, from Depalpur THQ Hospital.

District Police Officer Kamran Yousaf has formed a team, led by DSP Humayun Akhtar, to look into the matter.

Saddar SHO Imran Tipu said the police registered a case and arrested three suspects.
