LAHORE, Dec 5: Punjab Government has allotted a plot for the Football House in Nishter Park opposite Punjab Stadium, Lahore.

Punjab chief minister Chaudhary Pervez Elahi, allotted the land and the file had been sent back to the concerned  department for further necessary action, a Pakistan  Football  Federation spokesman said.

The Football House is a project of FIFA, the game’s world governing body, which will give Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) US Dollars 400,000 after it obtains the land.

The fund will be used to build a building in which a football academy and other related facilities would be provided.

The project was awarded to Pakistan in 2001, but apathy of the then PFF’s officials delayed matters.

AFC vice president, Manilal Fernando, incharge of the project in many  countries including  Pakistan  had  given PFF Dec 31 as a deadline to get the plot, during his visit last October.
