KARAK/PESHAWAR: A man was killed and six members of his family suffered injuries in a hand-grenade attack on his house in Karak district on Saturday.

According to the police, opponents of Badshah Mir lobbed several grenades into his house in the Narai Panoos area, razing the building to the ground.

Badshah Mir died and three women and three children of his family were injured. The cause of the attack was said to a land dispute between the two groups.

A probe was under way.

GRENADE FOUND: A grenade was defused by the police on the Mufti Mehmood Flyover within the jurisdiction of the Faqirabad police station in Peshawar.

The area is close to the provincial assembly building, the Peshawar High Court and military installations.
