KARACHI: Top seed Noman Khan and unseeded Talha Alam cruised into the men’s final of the Independence Day squash tournament after winning their respective semi-finals played at the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Jahangir Khan Squash Complex on Monday.

While Noman took half-an-hour to register 9-11, 11-0, 13-11, 11-9 victory over Kabeer Alam, Talha was home 4-11, 11-2, 11-5, 11-8 over Abdul Basit in 38-minute duel.

Top two seeds, Osama Zafar and Rafi Khan, as expected, set a date to meet each other in the boys’ under-15 final after defeating their opponent’s straights.

The finals will be played on Tuesday at 2.00pm. The senior vice-president of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) retired Air Vice Marshal Razi Nawab will be the chief guest.
