MARDAN: The top three positions were clinched by students of the Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College, Swabi, in the higher secondary schools certificate examination results, 2016, declared of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mardan, here on Friday.

The results were announced by board chairman Prof Mushtaq Ahmad at a function. He said the top three position holders belonged to the science group.

He said Mohammad Atif got first position by gaining 1,000 marks, followed by Aheryar Khalid Rahim who secured second spot getting 980 marks. The third position was shared by Hamza Mehmood of Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College, Swabi, and Jawad Ahmad of the Paradise College, Swabi, by obtaining 978 marks each.

Mr Ahmad said in humanitarian group, Zishan Ahmad of Shaukat Memorial Public Higher Secondary School, Kalo Khan, and Lubna Hussain of Government Girls Degree College, Hoti Mardan, jointly got first position with 882 marks each; Khansa of Aumi Al-Khair Girls Inter-College, Swabi secured second position with 881 marks, while the third position was jointly shared by Mufeez of Aumi Al-Khair Girls Inter-College and Sundas of Government Girls Degree College, Nowshera, by obtaining 870 marks each.
