1,450 bank employees confirmed

SAHIWAL, Nov 23: At least 1,450 temporary employees of the National Bank of Pakistan have reportedly been confirmed.

This was disclosed by NBP’s Regional Business Chief Shahzad Ahmed Shami while talking to newsmen at an Iftar dinner hosted by the bank’s Officers Association.

He said that employees whose services were regularized would get their salaries before Eid.

He said that account holders having less than Rs10,000 in their accounts would have to pay service charges from Jan 1, 2004, for which notices were being served on them. — Correspondent
