PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Friday transferred a district and sessions judge, Ishtiaq Ahmad, serving at Swabi, and posted him as registrar of the high court against the vacant post.

According to an order released here, an additional district and sessions judge, Swabi, Asif Rashid, has been authorised to look after the administrative work, urgent judicial (civil and criminal) matters and to act as drawing and disbursement officer of the vacant court of district and sessions judge.

The post of PHC registrar had fallen vacant a few days ago when the then incumbent Mohammad Ayub Khan was transferred.
