DADU, Nov 20: A large number of social development activists, women and students held a demonstration in front of the Johi town police station for three hours to protest against the police for not registering an FIR against a group of hooligans for disturbing a cultural and educational programme.

The hooligans, armed with sticks, stormed the cultural programme being held at the primary main school, Johi, and ordered students to stop the programme, organized by the Village Shadabad Organization, being held to mark the Children’s International Day.

The protesters were led by Akbar Lashari, president, Village Shadabad Organization.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Lashari said that an educational and cultural programme was being held to mark the children’s day at the primary main school, Johi, when hooligans and some religious extremists, led by Mohsin Jamali and Ibrahim Rind, started attacking students, women and other people present there.
